WHY ARE THESE PRODUCERS WORKING TOGETHER?

COVID-19 devastated the hospitality industry. All craft beverage producers lost the ability to sell their products on-site for most of the year. Because we are in this together, we knew it was time for us to work as one at the Capitol.

These groups have asked for these changes for several years, but now more than ever, it is critical for the MN Legislature to pass this legislation in 2021 to ensure these businesses survive and contribute to the State’s recovery.

Minnesota is either last or close to last in the country when it comes to modern liquor laws—a “prohibition hangover.” MN lawmakers need to support the growth of this industry as it directly contributes to our state’s economy.

Minnesotan craft beverage consumers appreciate the local culture that surrounds these small businesses. Communities have experienced growth in jobs and tourism—factors that contribute directly to our state’s economy.
